Aili in Karaitivu division, Ponparippu pattu, Kalpitiya division, Puttalam district. Does not occur in the Census for 1881; figures in that for 1891 as Aylie 

Distance and Situation – 19 miles from Puttalam on the Jaffna Road; 1 1/2 mile from the 18th mile post towards the west.
